Everyone is welcome to take part in the MetaComp 10 km FunRun – whether you’re running solo, with a company team, a group of friends, or with your family.
All participants start together and share the unique experience of beginning and finishing as one big team.
IMPORTANT: Start at 9:00 a.m. – Block A
The officially measured 10 km course follows sections of the marathon route and passes some of Würzburg’s most beautiful landmarks. Start and finish – just like the marathon and half marathon – are located directly at the Congress Centrum Würzburg (CCW).
We especially look forward to welcoming students aged 10 to 17 who wish to join the FunRun.

The MetaComp 10 km FunRun is the perfect race for anyone who wants to experience a real competition atmosphere and enjoy the unique vibe of Würzburg Marathon weekend. Whether you’re a casual runner, part of a company team, with family or friends – everyone runs together, enjoying the start, the route, and the finish side by side.
The 10 km course follows part of the official marathon route through Würzburg’s most scenic areas and past famous landmarks. Live music and cheering spectators along the course create an unforgettable atmosphere.
After crossing the finish line at the Congress Centrum Würzburg (CCW), all finishers will receive a well-earned medal and generous refreshments. The FunRun offers a perfect mix of sporting challenge, team spirit, and lots of fun.
Young runners aged 10 and above are warmly invited to join – whether with parents, friends, or as part of a team.
