General Terms of Participation – Stadtmarathon Würzburg
1. Scope
These terms apply to the event “WVV Marathon Würzburg”, organized by Stadtmarathon Würzburg e.V., Domweg 12, 97084 Würzburg, Germany (hereinafter: Organizer).
2. Registration and Services
2.1 Registration is only possible via the online registration portal. The participation contract becomes effective upon receipt of the registration confirmation.
2.2 Participation fees are listed in the registration form and are due upon registration.
2.3 Withdrawal or refund of the participation fee is generally excluded. Exceptions apply only if a cancellation insurance was taken out during registration and a medical certificate is provided.
2.4 Transfer of the starting place to another person is not permitted.
2.5 The event takes place in all weather conditions. If the event cannot be held due to force majeure (e.g. storm, pandemic, official order), there is no claim for refund of the participation fee.
2.6 Changes in schedule or services are reserved.
3. Participation Requirements
3.1 Eligible participants:
– Marathon: from age 18
– Half marathon: from age 16
3.2 Age groups are classified according to DLO and DLV regulations.
3.3 Each participant declares to be in good health and sufficiently trained.
3.4 The organizer reserves the right to exclude participants from the race if there are health concerns.
3.5 The bib number must be worn visibly and unaltered. Folding or covering leads to disqualification.
4. Disclaimer
By registering, each participant acknowledges that the organizer assumes no liability for damages of any kind, except in cases of intent or gross negligence. The disclaimer also applies to accompanying persons.
5. Image and Data Rights
Photos, video and audio recordings may be taken and published during the event (e.g. website, social media, press). By registering, the participant agrees to this.
Personal data (name, year of birth, club, result) will be stored and published for the purpose of organization and results processing.
6. Right of Withdrawal
According to § 312g paragraph 2 no. 9 BGB, there is no right of withdrawal, as this is an event on a specific date.
7. Final Provisions
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies.
